The final of 4 books in the series, I have enjoyed Ms. Kramer's wit throughout the entire series, including the play on movies in the titles. I wish we could give half stars because while this book isn't a 4 star, it's not a 3 either. The final book is Charlie's story, the last Impossible Bachelor, and is a Scottish Cinderella story. He undertakes a visit to Scotland, penniless on a bet from his married friends, to help his grandmother's goddaughter.

Charlie is defined by his money. He uses his wealth to hide behind because he cannot get past his distrust of others, especially women, only wanting his money. Hence his fear of marriage and the marriage mart. But deep down, Charlie is a sweet caring guy. He is not a strong alpha male, always bossing others around, that one typically finds in romance novels. Instead, he easily listens to others, incorporates their ideas and makes them work. He is much closer to a modern day businessman.

Daisy is the Cinderella to Charlie's Prince Charming (or in this case The Golden Girl to his Golden Prince). She is complete with 2 wicked stepsisters and a wicked stepmother who constantly boss her around. She is forthright and knows exactly what she wants, but also very vulnerable. Daisy's heart is enormous and she is extends that heart to even those who don't deserve it. Daisy carries a lot of guilt, which takes the entire book and the twists and turns of the story for her to lose.

Nothing you know at the start of the book will be the same by the end. While the overarching theme is a Cinderella story, it is much more universal to all the characters and not limited to just Daisy. They all have to undergo a transformation, each helping the other to achieve it. The book did bog down in the middle because there are only so many times that stepmothers and stepsisters can be wicked before you want either Daisy or Charlie to say enough and be done with them. Also the one major twist in the book was not a shock to me. There were plenty of clues dropped along the way that I was surprised Charlie had not figured it out sooner. But that in of itself made Charlie's reaction to the twist much more realistic and in character. Mostly, I just wanted the book to hurry up and get to the happily ever after. Also, I disliked that much of Charlie's and Daisy's romance was conducted off page.

The final pages of the story and the epilogue are incredible touching and one should keep tissues nearby.

I decided to pick up this book because she was so highly recommened by Juila Quinn (one of my favorites). The author tries to do a cinderella take and while I see she had potential I felt the plot dragged on. I felt myself just skipping pages to finsih the book. If you want to read someone who does the fairy tale take on books and at about a 1$ cheaper then I recommend Eliosa James. I never believed that the hero in the book had no idea what he owned towards the end of the book or the whole adoption thing...some plot points just seemed thrown in. Def. pass on this book and I will have to really run of of things to read before I pick up this author again!
A confusing hodge-podge of a story. I felt there was an uneven flow, unbelievable dialogue and silly twist and turns. This story was hard to enjoy -- especially as the other books in this series were so enjoyable. It felt like she was just throwing several different storylines together without a real story. The sisters are mean, than misunderstood, then nice, then mean. Goodness! The last chapter was the most disappointing -- 7 kids - some with issues, can't get pregnant, what was that all about?
I like the book. It was nice to see Lummy to find love at last. I love that he finds the love of his life.
Old stories written by dead authors can be just as good to read today as they were in the past. Reading about Regency England is my favorite time period to enjoy. I picked this story because the author's style of storytelling matches my reading interest level. A complicated plot and storyline to challenge me as I read.
Loved it!! If you are looking for a great fun read than you can not go wrong with a Kieran Kramer novel. Give A Girl A Viscount is the last book in the Impossible Bachelors series and I was anxiously awaiting it's release and was not disappointed. The romance was sweet, the humor was laugh out loud funny and the story flowed perfectly. Kieran combined the perfect amount of steamy romance with fairy tale sweetness and witty humor to keep you from wanting to put the book down! I highly recommend any of the Impossible Bachelors books for fans of Regency romances. This is the perfect book to take a break from reality and make you smile and laugh!
I have been enjoying this entire series and was looking forward to Viscount Lumeley's story. What a heroine! Daisy is smart and resouceful despite all the torture from her step-mother and sisters. Charlie is quite the unlikely hero, needing to prove to himself that he can cope without the cushion of all his money and title. There is enough doubt for you to enjoy his struggle to find himself. Daisy is quite overcome by her attraction and one of the sweetest girls you will ever root for in a romance. I thought the book about Stephan, the sea Caption would be my favorite, but this one is absolutely as enjoyable. Ms. Kramer has a way with a story that will make you look forward with relish to her next book. She is an author that can definately write a keeper. You won't regret buying this one.
